This is a sad time for Puerto Rico to lose one of our greatest heroes, SFC Modesto Cartagena. Our thoughts and prayers will be with his family during this time. He will live forever in our hearts like so many of the 65th soldiers, including my daddy. To all Borinqueneers forever in our hearts and prayers!

On behalf of myself and my family, I like to present my deepest condolences to the family of SFC Modesto Cartagena for his honorary service. Like we say in Puerto Rico " el fue un jibaro bravo y probao hasta lo ultimo y murio con las botas puestas " rest in peace SFC Cartagena and the peace of God be in your soul.

I was at P.C.C.C in Paterson and I had the honor to meet some of these unsung heros. My heart was saddened by the many struggles and heart break these great men went through, But I was never more proud to call myself Puerto Rican! I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet a few of many HEROS that REPRESENT what PUERTO RICANS are! STRONG MINDED! AND COURAGES!

My uncle PFC Manuel Gonzalez Bernal went missing September 1952 and was declared dead in December of that year. His location was Outpost Kelly in the DMZ. There were no witnesses to his becoming missing and according to the army no evidence that he was alive in enemy hands. He served in B Company, 1st Battalian, 65th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division. Just wondering if anyone served in the same company and might have known him. He was originally from Adjuntas, PR.

I've seen documentary about the Color Troops and the Japanese Troops that serve with honor to this great Nation. Those documentaries were very well prepared and done by professionals, but when I see a documentary as well as this one, done by Puertoriquen hands, I feel very proud. This is one of the best documentary ever done of Puertoriquens Troops because I saw a documentary done once of our troops in Vietnam done by a well know Puertoriquen writer that I will not mention his name and it can not compare with this production. It had the opinion of both sides very well narrated and left no doubt. This documentary surpass anything I have ever seen done in Puerto Rico. I bow my head to the people that took the time to make this production. I am very impress. It's a JOB WELL DONE.
